WHO IS YOKO 2?

"Innocence doesn't need experience, but experience seems to be always in need of innocence"

Yoko 2 is the pen name of writer and artist  Rin Watanabe who was born and raised in Tokyo. She has the reputation of being an enfant terrible in her home country since her writings feature some of the more deviant and violent elements in Japanese society.

Her novels have been described as a salacious mix of crime, fantasy and social commentary. She herself - or someone with the same name - always appears as a central character, thus blurring the boundaries between fiction and autobiography.

She is best known for her Made in Japan tetralogy which comprises Tethered, Ugly, Empty and Hurt.

All of Rin Watanabe's works are being independently published in English by Dark Orient.
